Hey Marvel Snap fans, the dust has settled on the AvX event, and a brand new update is hurtling our way! This week’s patch is all about keeping the meta fresh, with a focus on reigning in the Thanos and Discard decks that have been dominating the scene lately. But fear not, true believers, there are buffs galore for some fan favorites as well!
Captain Marvel Gets Promoted!
Remember that feeling of an unstoppable Captain Marvel leading you to victory? Our favorite cosmic hero is getting a bump in power, going from a 4/4 to a 4/5! This should make her a more attractive option in the current meta, and with her exciting potential, who knows? Maybe she’ll become a long-term resident of your decks.
Discard Gets Tuned Down: Apocalypse Loses a Bit of Bite
The discard decks have been on a tear lately, and to keep things balanced, Apocalypse is taking a small hit. His base power is going down from a 6/8 to a 6/6. Don’t worry, his ability to grow bigger and meaner is still there – it just might take an extra discard or two to get him truly monstrous.
Thanos Gets a Reality Check: Mind Stone Makes a Tough Decision
Thanos has been snapping his fingers a little too much recently. To make things more interesting, the Mind Stone, a key player in the Thanos strategy, is swapping its cost. Previously a 1/1, it’ll now be a 2/1. This means Thanos players will have to make some tough choices – draw those extra cards or potentially play another powerful card?
Psylocke: From Support to Solo Act?
Psylocke’s been a great teammate for Thanos, but the developers are looking to push her towards being more of a versatile card. To achieve this, her stats are going down from a 2/2 to a 2/1. This should make her less of an auto-include for Thanos decks and open doors for exciting new strategies.
Adam Warlock: A Guardian on the Rise!
Remember Adam Warlock? The developers haven’t forgotten him! He’s getting another buff, going from a 5/4 to a 5/5. This should make him a more attractive option, especially for Cerebro-5 decks.
