The Season of Loki is upon us, and nothing says Loki better than some chaos! Time to check out 5 cards that have been changed for better or worse.
Marvel Snap September 5th Card Changes
Snowguard has been one of the most frustrating cards to use in Marvel Snap since it was released. The card’s original design was meant to allow players to surprise enemies by taking advantage of the location where it was played. However, Snowguard’s unreliability made it nearly unusable in any deck.
To address this issue, the developers have reworked Snowguard to add both the Hawk and Bear cards to the player’s hand. This will allow players to manipulate locations much in the same way that Legion did while he was dominating the meta.
In addition to the Snowguard rework, the developers have also made the following balance changes:
- Blade: The card’s text has been changed to “Discard the rightmost card from your hand.” This change is intended to make Blade a more viable option in discard synergy decks.
- Soul Stone: The card’s text has been changed to “Ongoing: Enemy cards here have -1 Power.” This change is intended to nerf Thanos, who has been a top-tier character since his release.
- Spider-Ham: The card’s text has been changed to “Transform the leftmost card in your opponent’s hand into a Pig, keeping its Power and Cost.” This change is intended to make Spider-Ham less effective against high-cost cards.
- Absorbing Man: The card’s Power has been reduced from 5 to 4. This change is intended to address the recent surge in popularity of the Forge + Brood + Absorbing Man deck.
The developers have stated that they will continue to monitor the meta and make additional balance changes as needed.
