The recent Nintendo Direct showcase offered fans an exclusive peek into several Nintendo Switch titles slated for a Winter release. A standout announcement from the event was Bandai Namco Entertainment’s forthcoming game, ‘Spy x Anya: Operation Memories’.
Drawing inspiration from the acclaimed Spy x Family anime and manga, ‘Spy x Anya: Operation Memories zooms in on the Forger family’s endearing telepath, Anya. The gameplay plunges enthusiasts deep into the Spy x Family realm, spotlighting central figures like Loid, Yor, and others.
Within the game’s narrative, Anya Forger undertakes a fresh mission from Eden Academy: crafting a photo journal. Embodying Anya, participants will navigate through Eden Academy’s scholastic routine during weekdays and cherish family moments during breaks. Exploration beckons, with iconic locations from the anime and manga series, such as the seaside and the art gallery, serving as photogenic spots. Engaging with the Spy x Family cast, players assist Anya in piecing together her photographic chronicle.
Originating as a spy-thriller-comedy shonen manga, Spy x Family was brought to life by Tatsuya Endo. Its first appearance on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump took place in March 2019, with Viz Media securing North American licensing rights. The manga’s distinct appeal quickly resonated with readers, and the 2022 anime adaptation propelled its popularity further.
Fans of Spy x Family can look forward to an upcoming game adaptation that takes them back into the beloved universe of the series.
