Grubbin, the Bug-type Pokémon, will be the featured Pokémon for the September 2023 Community Day in Pokémon GO. The event will take place on Saturday, September 23, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
During the event, Grubbin will appear more frequently in the wild. Players will also have a mcuh higher chance of encountering a shiny Grubbin. Grubbin can be evolved into Charjabug, and then into Vikavolt, a Bug/Electric-type Pokémon that is strong in both PvP and PvE battles.
Grubbin Community Day Bonuses
In addition to the increased spawn and shiny rates for Grubbin, there will be other bonuses during the event:
*3x XP for catching Pokémon
*2x candy for catching Pokémon
*Lure Modules will last for three hours
*Incense will last for three hours
*Trades will require 50% less Stardust
There will also be a special Community Day research story available for purchase. This research story will give players the chance to earn more rewards, such as encounters with Grubbin and Vikavolt, and other items.
The Grubbin Community Day is a great opportunity to catch a shiny Grubbin and evolve it into Vikavolt. If you are a fan of Bug-type Pokémon or want to strengthen your team for PvP or PvE battles, then you should definitely participate in this event.

*Stock up on Poké Balls and Berries. Pinap help make sure you have enough candies.
*Use a Lure Module or Incense to attract more Grubbin.
*Visit a park or other area with a lot of PokéStops, but not too many that they overlap and cancel out the spawns of each.
*Trade with friends to take advantage on the required Stardust bonus.
